Powered roof support – interactive application

We are currently working on an interactive presentation of one of the necessary elements of a mining excavation – powered roof supports (exemplary roof supports). A mechanized roof support is not a simple element, it contains a large amount of detail that needs optimization. The first step was re-topology of the old model and the creation of a correct high poly model on it to create the necessary maps and textures

07_03_2016: update – we have prepared the Low Poly model from the original and saved about 360000 triangles in this way. For sure it will affect the smoothness of the application and the possibility of firing on devices with lower parameters. We are preparing UNWrap’y and high poly model for normal and further editing.

08_03_2016 update – on the occasion of finishing work on the basic model, we made it available on the LINK. Work on the next part is progressing as far as we dispose of free time.
