Technical 3D animations of mining systems
The production time always depends on the complexity of the project. A technical 3D animation such as the NEPEAN case study—covering the modeling of multiple machines and the entire mining environment—usually takes from several to a dozen weeks to complete. Simpler animations of individual machines are delivered much faster. We always start with a free quotation and a clearly defined schedule.
It’s not required. We usually work based on CAD/CAM files or technical drawings provided by the client. However, if you don’t have them, our team can accurately recreate and model your mining machinery and equipment from scratch, using photographic documentation and technical specifications. Below you’ll find a link to our blog with an article about using 3D design files in creating 3D animations.
Technical 3D animations are a versatile tool. In addition to supporting sales and marketing (as in the NEPEAN project), our clients use them as instructional and assembly animations, training videos (including occupational safety training in mining), and as trade fair materials where dynamic presentations of mining processes attract investors’ attention.
The NEPEAN project was based on a room and pillar mine, but our studio has the expertise to create 3D visualizations and animations for any branch of the mining industry. We produce 3D animations of crushing, sorting, and material transport processes, as well as visualizations of both underground and surface infrastructure (tunnels, shafts) of any type.
